Protecting your personal data matters to us. This website is deliberately kept lean: it contains no tracking, no analytics tools, no advertising cookies and no social plugins. Below we explain which data is nonetheless collected when you visit and how we handle it.

Each time our website is accessed, your browser transmits technically necessary data that our hosting provider stores in server log files. These are: IP address, date and time of access, the page requested, the previously visited page (referrer), as well as browser type and operating system.
The purpose is the secure and stable operation of the website and the prevention of misuse. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a functional, secure service (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The log files are automatically deleted after a short time, at the latest after 7 days, unless a security-relevant incident requires longer retention.
When you write to us via the contact form or by email, we process the data you provide: name, email address, phone number (if provided) and the content of your message. We use this information solely to handle your enquiry and to get in touch with you.
The legal basis is the initiation or performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) or our legitimate interest in responding to your enquiry (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The data is deleted once your enquiry has been conclusively handled and no statutory retention obligations prevent this.
To protect the contact form against automated misuse (spam), we check incoming submissions. If a submission is classified as spam and blocked, we log the sender's IP address and browser identifier (user agent). The legal basis is our legitimate interest in the security and functionality of the form (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). These entries serve solely to prevent misuse and are deleted regularly.
The fonts used on this website are loaded from our own server. No data is transferred to third parties in the process, in particular not to Google.
This website is hosted by a service provider within the European Union. The hosting provider processes the data mentioned under section 2 on our behalf on the basis of a data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR). No transfer to a third country takes place.
The website is delivered exclusively encrypted via HTTPS (SSL/TLS). Your entries, for example in the contact form, are thereby protected against being read by third parties.
You have the right at any time to information about the data stored about you (Art. 15 GDPR), to rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16), to erasure (Art. 17), to restriction of processing (Art. 18), to data portability (Art. 20), as well as a right to object to processing based on our legitimate interest (Art. 21). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information, Alt-Moabit 59-61, 10555 Berlin.
